The garbage boat CollectiX collects plastic waste from the waters of the world. For this purpose, artificial intelligence is used to identify waste accumulations and their composition. The data collected then allows conclusions to be drawn about the quantity, type and originator of the waste. This will significantly change the way we talk about water pollution!

At Greentech Festival we presented this concept from September 16 to 18. Colleagues* from Pacific Garbage ScreeningBerky and DFKI travelled to Berlin. In compliance with all hygiene measures we experienced three inspiring and impressive days.

The festival has the motto celebrating change. For us it is the perfect place to meet a global community of innovators and game-changers. Because all exhibitors there have the same goal - a greener future.

We feel honored to have been part of the festival and to be able to present our boat CollectiX paired with the AI. The feedback was consistently positive and shows that artificial intelligence can be an important step towards cleaner waters.

The colleagues from DFKI presented directly on site how it looks like when the waste collected by CollectiX is scanned by sensors and drone and evaluated with the help of AI. Our example makes it clear: Together we can do the most, that's why we believe in the strategic implementation of global partnerships, that all of us together can make the world more sustainable.
